Medola

Full Stack Engineer. Incurable traveler. Writer in the making. All in the same woman.

I've been building systems for 5+ years — and collecting sunsets, time zones and chapters of a book I'm yet to write.

Any na Sicília

About me

Brazilian by birth, Sicilian by sunset. Three years ago I claimed my Italian citizenship and crossed an ocean to make the Mediterranean my time zone.

I was born in Brazil with a thirst for the world no map could satisfy. Three years ago I claimed my Italian citizenship, packed my bags and moved to Sicily — not Milan, as my old résumé kept insisting. My time zone is the Mediterranean now, and the golden late-afternoon light has become part of who I am.

I'm a Leo through and through: I love forging my own path, helping the people beside me, and being recognized for who I truly am — not just the developer who delivers, but the woman who travels, writes, reads, plays music and turns life into a collection of stories.

Creativity + Code

More than code: design and sensibility

Years of building systems took me beyond code. The same creative curiosity that makes me write and travel led me to Figma and design — and gave me a rare sensibility for what people want to see, feel and solve.

The user's eyes

I see the product through the user's eyes — behavior, experience and meaning before the pixel.

From problem to solution

Design that solves, not just decorates. Every screen exists to clear an obstacle from someone's path.

A bridge between worlds

I translate ideas between design, product and engineering — because I move naturally between logic and creativity.

What I create

Design & UI

Prototypes and screens in Figma, built around the people who use them.

Expat · @anyinsicily

The woman behind the code

A Leo sun with a Leo rising — someone who longs to help people, yet needs to carve her own path and be recognized for who she truly is.

I don't take the stars too seriously — but I like what they whisper about me. This year is a quiet one: a chapter of study, intuition and getting ready for what comes next.

The places I collected

Every sunset is a stamp in the passport of the soul. I share the routes, the tips and the mishaps with whoever travels with me — come along.

Expat life on the island

On @anyinsicily I share, in English and Italian, what it's like to be a Brazilian building a life in Sicily — the bureaucracy, the beauty, the food, the small wins of starting over in a new country. It's the Any who helps those dreaming of the same path.

From the notebook

A blog & a book, in the making.

I've always written to make sense of moving. The blog is where the essays live between trips; the book is the longer story of leaving Brazil, reclaiming Italy, and learning that home is something you carry, not somewhere you land.
